Class Of 2020: Conor Witherspooon

Metamora (MI) native Conor Witherspoon is well versed on the adversity associated with the sport. The 5’11”, 172lbs forward is now a proud member of the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers.

Coming off a 35 point campaign with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the NAHL, his second in LA, the ’99 born “Spoons” is a dynamic player with the puck, with deceptive puck distribution skills, as well as being an amateur movie critic.

Spoons journey to the Mudbugs was a checkered one, originally starting in the NAHL as a member of the Amarillo Bulls. After a short stint there, the forward spent time in Eastern Ontario – skating with the Navan Grads of the CCHL and Ottawa West Golden Knights of the CCHL2. All before returning to Michigan and joining the Little Caesar’s 18U AAA program. From there he tendered with Shreveport, and the rest is as we say history.

He is a graduate of Flint Powers HS where he starred, as well as participating in the MDHL during his High School years.
