Class of 2020: Charli Kettyle

Charli Kettyle (Perth, ON) a 2002 D, spent 3 years in the PWHL – 1 with the Kingston Jr. Ice Wolves and most recently with the Nepean Jr. Wildcats. Kettyle stood out on the blue line in Nepean playing against Ontario’s top forwards as well as adding to the score sheet, tallying 22 points in each season with the Wildcats.

Kettyle set her sights on the international stage. After being selected for the OW U16 camp, she battled her way through U18 HP camps and was selected to the U18 Team Canada roster. Kettyle, along with Nepean teammates Thompson and Wheeler, went on to win a silver medal at the 2019 IIHF Women’s World Junior Championship in Slovakia.

Kettyle’s work ethic doesn’t stop on the ice. She is an equally as decorated student and community member, obtaining a 90%+ average throughout high school and many academic awards. Serving her community has always been slotted into Kettyle’s busy agenda. In her honour, the Perth & District Community Center retired her jersey.

Kettyle signed a National Letter of Intent during her final year in Nepean with the University of New Hampshire. She will be wearing #23 for the Wildcats. Good luck Charli in all of your future endeavours.
