Congratulations to 2004-born ESG Athlete Jonathan Sonedecker on his commitment to play NCAA Hockey for St. John Fisher University!
Sonedecker, a 6’0″ 182 lb forward from the Colombus, OH area, is currently in his second season suiting up for the Sault Ste. Marie Thunderbirds of the NOJHL. A true 200 foot player, Jonathan has posted 38 points (20 G, 18 A) in 41 games, along with 52 penalty minutes – tying him for the team lead in both points and penalty minutes this season!
Located in Rochester, NY, St. John Fisher will lean heavily on Sonedecker’s excellent three-zone game as they field their inaugural NCAA Division III varsity hockey team in 2025-26, joining the United Collegiate Hockey Conference.
