It is with our deepest regrets that we have to announce that Ottawa’s longest running Defence Camp of over 17 years will be forced to cancel the 2020 edition of the camp due to the new restrictions imposed by the Hockey Canada/Ontario Hockey Federation/Hockey Eastern Ontario during the current COVID-19 Emergency Order and the associated demands that we are facing as ANY hockey operator (Rinks, Instructors, etc) in the Province of Ontario.
I encourage all of you to educate yourselves on the restrictions that they are imposing during this time, with mandates to excede the Hockey Canada playing season dates as well. Needless to say that while we support some of the initiatives, it stands to reason that this extends the scope of their regulation once out of the Emergency Order, especially outside of the minor hockey season.
